when I saw this, I immediately thought of @plantinthewindow knowing he takes photographs of abandoned places, rusted things and peeling paint, and knew this would appeal to him. I was about to go tell him after I rec'd this page, but then saw that he, of all people, was first to comment here, and yes, he did indeed like it.
Awesome! How do you do it? I love the over exposure of the door and you still managed to get the latch and the marvelous color of the paint. And I could rave about the texture but I won't... too bad I only have one rec!
Oh, yes, Beth -- very simple, very beautiful!
@murisopsis - Thanks Val! I took the pic with my phone , I played with the contrast and light, and focused on the latch but the phone really does what it wants!
You have a talent for this in everything you do - you make the phrase "less is more" come to life and really BE more! Lots more! Go Beth!!!!
This photo brought to mind to mind the words, "We'll leave the string out for you",
@Urban_Peril - I had to google wabi-sabi., I like that phrase for this, thank you!
Ha; I figured out what happened. I made the earlier comment on facebook!!!
what ^they^ said!
nice
love it! but I love more that you saw its beauty first and shared it with us!
oh,oh, I will have to post my screen door handle next week.
love it.
Hi Beth. Loved this photo.
Reminded me of the first telephone. I picked up the phone and a telephone operator asked----Number Please.
I've looked at this several times. At first I didn't care for it, but I was wrong. It is very nice. Really great photo.
@C_L_O_G - What didn't you like about it ? Too much white or too much door, i could have cropped it.
. . . now that is an idea I can latch on to. Nice work.
@seedsower - My eyes kept jumping to the blown out white on the right edge. When I finally looked at the picture as a whole I realized it worked really well that way.
