Outsourced on Xanga :Explained
I am not a good mean person or an efficient liar ,
pathetic at both actually.
VaneDave posted earlier this week that he had BIG NEWS!!!Saying in the post
"I have been hired to work on a very special consulting project that will greatly affect how things go around here.
I begin working on this project next week, and I have been approved to hire two people to assist me
(part time work/flexible hours). More specifically, I am looking for two xangans to assist me."
So last night Dave asked me to help him pull an April Fools Prank
by pretending that he had already hired me for the job that he posted about
I was to pretend that I still thought I had the job until
I read his post where he offered MY job to anyone on Xanga.
I was supposed to write a mean post stating how disappointed I was in him.So I played along and posted this....
"Usually I do not post something like this but ...
Someone on Xanga offered me a job helping with an important project,I was really looking forward to it, you know I am the "project queen".
I have worked on projects with this person before
and was happy to be asked to work together again.
Then,to my complete and utter surprise...
I saw this person posted about the job,
opening up to everyone the position that was promised to me.
I messaged this person about it several times
I told this person that I was very disappointed.
Finally, the person got back to me saying said it was nothing personal...
maybe it is not personal to this person -
but I don't see how they did not understand that it is very personal to me.
I feel like I was put to the side while they are hoping for a better offer
That is just no way to treat a friend.
This person needs to learn the value of working together
- and I hope that does not have to be learned the hard way.
Still, I do hope he...I mean this person does well on this project"THEN....this morning Saintvi Skyped me and knew it was a prank right away.
She said she was going to play a joke on vanedave
and post that He had hired HER for the job and I was making a stink about it.
That he came between us.
Haaaa,now that was funny.Her post was
Maybe I'll just go back to bed...
so then Dave posted
The Big Bad Bully...
Vi and I are so pathetic, we were telling people in private messages that it was
April Fools. I felt so guilty when ever I got a sincere reply from someone!The worst thing I could think of the call Dave in his post was a "Meanie"
yeah I bet that had a real sting to it.Dave,you need to find some hardened off folks to play the part ,
I caved in and pulsed that it was April fools,
I just couldn't take one more sincere comment.
Happy April Fools Everyone!

i think, maybe, the person wanted to give other people opportunities to be more involved in this community, since you've done so much already?
Sheesh, what is the deal with people? I'm sorry friend. Please know you are SOOO not a loser and you are SOOO worth more then ANYONE he could possibly use to replace you.. F*ck them.. You promote so much good around here, you are one of a kind. Love you.
*Hugs Beth*
Sorry this happened and you are such a sweet person wishing him well on his project.
He's so "vane", he probably thinks this post is about him, anyway. :p
@ihaveawhistle - You make me laugh!
@ihaveawhistle - Darn you to heck! That would've been my comment!
It's pretty crappy to ask you to do something and then open it up that way without having the courtesy to approach you and let you know that he wanted to try something new. You shouldn't find out by reading a post about it. I mean, isn't this a "job," which would indicate some level of professionalism should be involved?
You're an excellent choice for nearly any project I can think of. 'Cept amateur porn.
I just really can't see you doing it.
Maybe holding the boom mike?
With a blindfold?
he sucks, that is all
That was a mean thing to do.
So sorry. People can be so thoughtless and not realize the hurt they may cause.
Good on ya for still wishing him luck though, whoever he is. Very noble.
People should keep their word. If they say something, that is the way it should be. Of course, I often find that is not the case.
Nothing like having the rug pulled out from under you... So sorry you were blindsided. Unprofessional and down right rude. But maybe you can put your talents to better use on a different project??
can't imagine anyone not wanting your help, but, then, that's me.
Boy, it's like being ask to the prom then told forget someone else maybe a better date! Grow up and think dude! Beth forgetaboutit!
It's that potted plant or chopped liver feeling. Or maybe he's just looking for someone with more sex appeal?
@LoBornlytesThoughtPalace - Oh Snap! More sex appeal ,kick me when I am down...LOL ha. That made me laugh.
@GoodGuyTheBoss - I love that comment!
I don't think any of the Fools would do anything like that!
Happy April Fools Day to you!
The nerve of some people!
You really have a poor understanding of what happened.
@vanedave - Me????????????/
People don't realize how hurtful is is to be on the wrong end of 'if something better comes along." It's happened to me, and it stinks.
My daughter used to do it to friends when she was young...make plans and then dump the first person if a 'better offer' came around. When I would find out about it, I would scold her and explain to her how hurtful it is to the first person. Talking to her didn't work because she wasn't reaping painful consequences. The last time she did it was Halloween when she was 12. A friend's mother picked her up to take her home for dinner and then trick or treating in a big fancy neighborhood. After she left another friend (in our neighborhood) called to ask where she was since she was supposed to walk over to her house for dinner and trick or treating with her in our neighborhood. I apologized to the girl. Then I got in the car, drove over to where she was and brought her home. She had to call her friend and apologize, and then stay in that night. No trick or treating, no friends, nothing. Boy was she upset! But she learned her lesson and never did it again to my knowledge.
Maybe someday it will happen to the person who did it to you, and they'll know how it feels. Or they'll burn enough bridges and people will stop making plans with them. Either way, it will catch up to them eventually.
Sorry this happened to you Beth.
NO WAY! THE NO GOOD LOUSY SCUM SUCKING BASTARD! I think people that renege on offers should be set out on a hot Florida beach for hours on end without sunscreen.
I guess where you are and what you've been doing affects the torture one conjures up for Bethly wrongdoings.
@seedsower - yes, you. I would really appreciate it if you deleted this post and just got over it.
@vanedave - See saintvi's post.
I am so sorry about the job..
I think you should be drinking beer right now.
@Bricker59 - It's wine and I need another bottle.
That's just bad business. If you offered someone a position and they accepted it, then it's filled. End of story. How incredibly unprofessional and underhanded. He/they could have asked you to step down or something at the least.
Thoughtless and inconsiderate...those two words immediately come to mind.
@ItsWhatEyeKnow - wow. really? Is all that really necessary?
II agree with wakeup laughing. I wouldnt even worry about it, because carmas a B*tch.. theyll get wat they deserve, maybe not now, maybe not tommaroww, but somedayyy :]
@ihaveawhistle - And the "Clever Bastard" award goes to...
@vanedave - @vanedave - Hey,don't be picking on my friends on my site,I will tell your mom,she will kick your butt to Harlem and back.
vandave, you really dont have to be an ass, you hurt her feelings, you can quit beiing like that, you said she has a poor understanding of what happened, if thats true, why dont you explain to her what really happend, or let her know why you did that and acted like that..
@vanedave - Necessary? No. But Dave, was your unconscionable behavior towards Beth - slamming her heart with rejection - necessary? No. Someone should report you to the proper Xangan authorities for mental abuse.
@christinastanton01 - I don't remember saying anything to you. I am not being an ass, I am simply standing up for myself. I did explain it, and it is just not seeping through.
I say...DESTROY HIM!
@ItsWhatEyeKnow - "Slamming her heart with rejection"... when did this become a Lifetime movie of the week? Do you always have to be so dramatic?
@Roadlesstaken - careful man. I don't think she was joking about those cupcakes.
@vanedave - Exactly, which is why I'm switching sides! Unless, you have something more to offer.
@vanedave - You can't play this down, Dave. Your ignominy has obviously palsied this poor women's trust. And it's sad. So sad! Shame on you.
@Roadlesstaken - If you take her side, I will choose not to treat everyone to my mad karaoke skills at the xanga meet. Do you want to be responsible for doing that to everyone?
@vanedave - You're putting me in a tough spot Dave!
Wow... it's hard to know whose side I should be on. I mean, on the one hand, Beth is so much nicer than Dave and she's a woman so that counts for extra points. But Dave is no-nonsense, occasionally funny and reminds me of my cousin that likes to pretend he's dating one of the Duggar girls. Man... I'll have to get back to you on this one.
@ihaveawhistle - ahahahahahaha! That was excellent!! I'm sorry your feelings got hurt, Beth.
When you typed Outsourced in the title I thought of the new tv show about this guy who had to move to India because workers over there are willing to work for lower pay than Americans. After reading this, the tv show and this blog has its similarities.
And it's nice of you to hope for the guy's success instead of plotting revenge.
Grrrrrrrrr! Let me at em!!! I'll teach em to mess with my sister!!!
(Unless of course they are bigger, meaner and badder than me. Then I am afraid you are on your own sis.)
Not very thoughtful. I had a friend that did that to me all the time. Finally one evening I called her about ten minutes before a huge concert and said "Sorry I decided that Mary was a better offer so I gave your ticket to her. I'll call you tomorrow with all the details." When I called her she was still upset and I said it was about time she learned how she made others feel.
You want we should go over and straighten this person out?
signed,
Kneecaps
you're all weird, haha.
hehehe
haha i figured it was weird, but didn't want to make a joke out of it if it wasn't. it didn't seem like something you post lmao especially after the "blocked" comment om saintvi's post hahah
but i'm glad it was a joke =P
Heh. I love you for lots of things. The fact that you can't really pull off a prank ranks among the highest reasons
Hahaha - we suck! I can't pull off a prank and I can't keep a straight face when I'm lying.
@Ricardo98 - I love this comment!!
At least everyone is not mad at everyone else. That is all that matters. I am glad you and Saintvi are not fighting.
@TheTheologiansCafe - Ha,we would never fight.
@saintvi - You guys were killing it all day. Hahaha. No one believed you were mad at me for a sec! I love you guys.
lol
Happy April Fool's Day to you too.
haha you're too cute! this is funny
Ok. Fools are fools. I tried a prank on my son that backfired so bad I feel like a heel. I have resigned from April fooling myself.
hang in there.
Hahaha -- I refrained from commenting on your post this morning because I suspected it might be an April Fools joke -- I just didn't realize how far it went! Happy April 1!
Yowza, you caved easy!!!
All I said was, "sorry your feelings were hurt." Which was the only thing I could think of to say since the situation seemed a little...weird...hahahahahahahaaha
"cuckling" well I am happy no one was hurting our Beth cause you know the Xanga army woudl march on over and get them.

@ordinarybutloud - I am such a schmuck.
@seedsower - you're not a schmuck. It's sweet (and hilarious) that you didn't feel comfortable deceiving people. The difference between you and me: I would never have agreed to do it in the first place. But I don't like to say no. So I would have walked away from the computer for a few days and pretended I didn't see it. *That's* what a lame schmuck I am!!!!
I didn't caught the blogs before finding out that it's a prank for April's Fool. Nonetheless, I find it funny.
@ordinarybutloud - sweet and hilarious is just about right.
Dear Beth,
Dave's April Fool's pranks are monumental.
I read your entry this morning, and my first thought was. "Beth has plunged into the depths of Xanga drama at last."
Then I looked at the date.
Michael F. Nyiri, poet, philosopher, fool
@baldmike2004 - That is the only drama you will ever see from me!
Oh, fool's day pranks FTW
I got to tell you, even though I was in the know I still would have known this was all a fake immediately without the heads up. First because I smell the truth from a mile away. You all know that. And secondly, because like you said, you don't do mean well. That's a good thing.
@ItsWhatEyeKnow - I knew you would know,you are like Jessica Fletcher!
@seedsower - I sure hope this "Jessica Fletcher" is a bright gal.
The bezel of this rolex cheap watches is uni-directional rorating, with raised steel clips for numerals and luminous dots. And you can replace this bezel by unscrewing the 12 screws around it. It has an impressive 42.5mm stainless steel case with high quality rose gold plated.
@ItsWhatEyeKnow - Remember her character from "Murder,She Wrote" ?
I never watched that show, but yeah, I know who you mean.
Fools! *shglaf*
Okay, just realized that the poetry challenge is anvilsandedelweiss. I really can't keep up. It's hell to be old!
