Hopeful Moon Rising
Bricker wrote something that jogged a memory.
I have been back to that time in my life often since then.
There is an old John Prine song that I love, it has a line in it
" it's often remembered, so many times that my memories are worn."
I think I wore out that memory.
I have been seeing bits and pieces of it recently but yesterday at my counselors
I had to put the pieces together.
I feel like the dam has broke.
It hurts but it is so good to have answers.
I stayed in the little parking lot for a while, until I calmed down and then I drove.
I drove for miles and miles.
I was looking for something good, I was looking for hope and I found it.
The rising moon over the mountain .
Beauty for my ashes.

i have some nice photos of the moon that i took with my older camera. i have yet to get a nice shot with my nikon even with the 200mm lens that even comes close to what that point and shoot canon did.
this is a nice sequence, but i really like the first one and how it has the words on it. reminds me of a poster or a greeting card.
and thank you for thinking i am sweet.
wow! i was first! that rarely happens. lol
@buddy71 - The first one had words on it? I do not see them!!
Wow - it sort of looks like it's crumbling in the first few pictures. Neat. :D
Sometimes those peices are a little tough to put into their place. Glad God sent you part of His creation!
I'm glad you found some beauty and that you are healing. God is so good!
So beautiful.
While it hurts to remember it's only then that we can really deal with the hurts from our past. Like it or not these things affect our lives every day even if we don't remember them. Hugs & prayers that this will help you heal.
@seedsower - The text at the top? :)
Glad you found hope in the rising moon, Beth.
Things will be better when you work through this, and I know you will.
Beautiful! and congratulations on your breakthrough. God bless you.
Daddy won't you take me back to Mulenburg County down by the Green River where Paradise lay?
As painful as it is, it's good to have a breakthrough. Healing hugs.
@seedsower - the top shot of the moon as it shows on my work computer has words (the text) above the moon. it reminds me of a card or a poster the way it appears.
Hugs Beth!! It seems our past always comes back at some point...especially if it wasn't a good memory. I have those moments more than I care to admit. I pray for your heart to heal my sweet friend. You are truly a wonderful sweet friend!! Much love to you!!
Oh, Beth - I wish I was there to hug you in person! Sending hug-a-bears in spirit and I'll be down to see you sometime in the next month or so.
That moon was just for you, honey! I am glad God is walking you through those memories and bringing you healed and whole down the road.
Awesome. :)
Beth, I like your site.... but you are way more fun in person!!!
@Aloysius_son - Hey,I will tell Ma that you are picking on me!!
awesome pictures
Thanks for sharing your beautiful pics of 'ol Mr. Moon and this wonderful song! I've never listened to John Prine, but now I will! It reminds me of my dad! I'm glad that your drive brought you some joy and comfort. A long drive and music that soothes the soul are great remedies for our mind!
I think you've had a spiritual awakening.
did you take photos of the moon?
is that a bad moon rising? lol.
Hugs to you and sweet dreams too!
@Aloysius_son - Be nice to Josie!
you've been in my thoughts and prayers for the last several weeks... not sure why- just had the feeling you needed to be there. Progress is wonderful, no matter the pain involved, just keep telling yourself that eventually it will be for the better. Hang in there my dear friend... you'll be in my heart.
