Under the Farmhouse Porch
Sometimes we pass something everyday without seeing it.
Under the back porch is a storage area and
an old doorway into the cellar.
I stopped today to just look at the odds and ends tucked away there,
some of the things my father-in-law had under there for 50 yrs.an old broom and a branch cutter
and just around the corner is an old grind stone in the flower bed

how interesting, the things you find that have been sitting closeby all along.
Love the effect you used with this post. The things we find if we just look.
Cool stuff and love the shot of Cider.
Makes me think of all the things I'd find in my garage after only 20 years!
I love finding neat things like that.
@chronic_masticator - I love all your profile pics, Amanda, you are lovely.
@seedsower - oh, you. <3
That is neat stuff. It is interesting what we put somewhere and leave and mostly forget about.
You got some nice pictures too. I do like the bucket hanging on the wall.
Neat!
Neat pictures!!!
I love that they are still where he left them. Almost a respect, of sort. Wonderful shots and texture. So, is this space tall enough to walk under?
cool photos. very.
Interesting items. Not sure what to think of this, but I knew that was a limb pruner before you mentioned it. Cider is a cutie! What is/was that grindstone used for?
I would want to take the newspaper out and read it, of course I would put it back after I finished
love the crocus by the grinding wheel, you'll always know you took that picture in the spring
Hey Cider !!!!
THe grindstone is to sharpen knives and blades it set on a bas with a foot pedal to make it go around. See HERE
@WildWomanOfTheWest - yes it is enclosed somewhat but open and like a small room , there are tables and chairs stored under there and I saw the little girls set them up to play house, there was a bucket of dirt, pots and cups on the table. what fun!
Totally cool!!!
We used to have a very old man's hat hanging in our garage. It belonged to the original owner--probably 50 years old. It seemed wrong to move it. lol
frank
@HUMOR_ME_NOW - I love that.
Neat!
Do I spy a dirt dauber nest? Love the everyday tools of life. If they could talk, right??
Do you ever find yourself wondering when the last time someone used those things was? And, did the user have any idea it would be the last time they used that broom and then put it back there?
Beautiful photos and the post reminds me of visiting my great grandmther's house... So many "treasures".
until I saw the receipt which had said $4034, I didn't believe that my mom in-law was like realey bringing home money in their spare time from there labtop.. there neighbour haz done this for only about 9 months and resantly repayed the mortgage on their apartment and purchased a new Saab 99 Turbo. read more at, http://www.wow83.com
Things are looking too old and still is looking real. Nice collection and I have appreciated. Free love Things
There could be stuff under there worth some bucks. It is always interesting what people collect over the years and then forget what they have. Try the attic and see what is here. Bro. Doc
I love these~ especially the bucket in B&W! Does this mean you have your camera fixed?
Cool as all get out! What is hidden behind that newspaper? A diamond necklace? Meanwhile, in photos you found a treasure. I love old things from people we loved.

I love the view from the cellar door, looking out and of Cider looking in! He's a cutie! Isn't it wonderful to notice the little things along life's path?!!!
