Keeping Busy!
I have been busy ...
-with a little nephew who is my little sidekick.
I usually pick him up a few times a week to give his mom a break.
He is funny and I really enjoy having him.
He likes to make things,We made an ornament from his hand
with cardboard and scrapbook paper.
-I made many bows!
I used glittery ribbon and I shine
-We went to a family get together,
as you can see we were all excited to get there!
- I went to the Martin Guitar Company in Nazareth PA
for a factory tour with my mom and my aunt and uncle
there were guitars everywhere,
I half expected the toilet to be guitar shaped but no luck there.
they have a beautiful museum
they have custom guitars that you can play
my uncle playing one-We rooted thousands of perennials in the greenhouse
-My niece went to her first Formal ,she needed a dress
and I found a vintage dress for her in the attic!
I have a collection of vintage dresses and hats etc for the girls to play with
and this was in the box. I was so happy that it fit her!
We cut a bow off of the dress to use for a headband and
bought a few accessories to add to the ensemble, she looked beautiful!-I have been crafting,
there are magnetic note holders made from clothespins
refrigerator magnets
and glass thumbtack pins
- I took time to take a few pictures of some lovely scenes
-and now I need to finish up the cards....from last year
(I started them but never sent them) and get them in the mail. What have you been up to?

OK...I feel like a complete sea slug now. Thank you for making me feel like a sea slug. You are a darling.
Geesh...
Are there alot of farms for sale by you?
Sail on... sail on!!!
You have been busy. You may have to eventually get help one year if you don't already. Love all the photos that show what's been going on in your corner of the world. Very festive and happy, the way it should be! My son, who plays guitar well, would be in heaven if he saw that museum.
Merry Christmas! You've been busy. My mother had a Martin guitar that she got when she was a girl in the 1920's. She used to put it on her lap, and play Hawaiian style with a steel slide and picks on her fingers. She gave it to my brother and he took it home to Spain with him. He says it is not worth a lot of money, since it's not a full-size guitar. I have good memories of hearing her play it.
Busy lady, indeed!
I've been busy too, but none of it's been as much fun as you've been having. It hasn't been fun at all, really.
Great photos. Love the fact you're rooting flowers in the greenhouse because it reminds me that spring will someday arrive.
Your nephew's ornament is beautiful. He will have many happy memories of crafting with his aunt. And your niece looks beautiful in that dress!
I haven't been busy. We live far from our families and will probably do some little jobs around the house all week and eat lasagna for Christmas dinner!
WOW! You've been busy. I'm on a road trip. I'm in Memphis today to visit with some friends.
Wow... I'm impressed... how did you find the energy and time to do all these great, wonderful things???
Wow -- you HAVE been busy! Hope you can relax for Christmas, and have a very merry one!
I have not been as busy as you wow what a busy bee
I have been working on the railroad - as it were... I did put up the tree and put vintage C-6 lights on it... Flash put ornaments on it...One of the wires on one of the 6 C-6 strands broke loose. I removed the plastic (bakelite) housing surrounding the metal socket... Unfortunately, this damaged the metal socket - but I have a whole box full of broken C-6 light strands... I removed one of the metal sockets from one of the broken strands, soldered it in place, and put the original bakelite housing back on the socket. All fixed! Christmas is fun!
But YOU! Your have been swimming in Christmas - in your work - with your family!!! Go Beth!!!
What a beautiful vintage dress your niece is wearing and she is such a beautiful young lady. Your nephew is adorable and I love the photo of your Mom and your nephew asleep in the back seat of the car. That photo is a wonderful memory.
Going to the Martin Guitar Factory would be amazing. TY for sharing the photos.
I have been busy with Td and making Ali the kitty behave herself. Life is calm and thanks to the aging process I have slowed down enough to enjoy living.
Merry Christmas Beth to you and yours.
Hi, Beth.
You are a wonderful aunt!!!!
Merry Christmas.
Frank
You are busy... what a lot of energy you must have!
Merry Christmas to you and your family.
I have been busy but not near as productive as you! I have wrapped, and wrapped and wrapped presents. We ran out of scotch tape. I went grocery shopping and have my Christmas feast planned... The vintage dress is perfect on her - you must be the best aunt in the whole world!!
Wow, you have been so productive! So many lovely things going on here. I love the creativity of the hand ornament.
You made those bows and magnets???? You have skilled hands. And all those guitars look wonderful- makes me want to resume my guitar lessons.
I love the dress you found! I also wanted to say you have a really nice smile, very warm.
A newsy wonderful share. Your nephew looks full of mischief and your niece is beautiful. As was the dress. Such a gorgeous color. The pictures were absolutely marvelous and reminded me of what the holidays are all about.
I love the crafts. The refrigerator magnets are beautiful as were the glass thumb tacks.
Ahh...I love your pictures. Martin Guitars are one of the best and my brother has a top of the line Martin. I have to say though that Taylor Guitars are my favorite. Have a wonderful Christmas.
Well, I had to wait until my daughter took pictures for me....of my kids. Some will be posted on xanga soon, I hope! I think she just likes taking photos of her sibs. She has a facebook just for her side business of photography! I always send out cards but of late it is just too much before Christmas to get done for some reason. I want every one of those perennials! The dress for your niece is a fantastic idea! I think I will remember it! Have a beautiful Christmas and don't forget to enjoy some time to yourself!
