  • Pumpkins and Saintvi

Living in Hooterville like I do we can't get to the store
without driving for miles, sometimes we just use what we have.
I wanted a big pumpkin to cook ,
Dave said he had some little pumpkins left over in the greenhouse
and wondered if I could use them ,I thought "Why not?".
He brought them in but I could not cut them with a knife
so we sawed them in half.

We cleaned out the seeds and toasted them, they are so good!
I clean and rinse the seeds, toss them with garlic powder, cayenne pepper,
soy sauce and chili powder and bake them on a greased cookie sheet/pan.

    My nephew comes on Tuesday
to help cook for Wednesday's Family Dinner

We boiled the pumpkins in the shell.

The shells stayed hard , so we scraped all the pulp out to use
for Pumpkin soup, pumpkin bars and pumpkin pies
and tomorrow night when it is Family Dinner Night
we will use the shells for soup bowls to serve the pumpkin soup in.

For Halloween today I am @Saintvi
    She toasted Pumpkin seeds too!
