  • very interesting stuff.

I deal with bipolar disorder type II.

  • Out of those links my area of interest was world cup , cannabis and penis and i enjoyed those points very well xplained , you may not know that i am your friend on xanga :P

  • Ginger Baker from Cream? I worshipped Cream. I have pictures of them from 1967 when they played in Cleveland.

  • Most of my life as a kid, I wanted to live in Texas. Then, after I started playing the guitar and was in bands with my friends, I lost interest in Texas. The appeal was gone. Then my dad got transferred to Texas. I usually get what I want - but usually not when I want it! Go figure!

  • @runisom48 - Yep, that Ginger.

  • I remember Ginger Baker, from "Cream" and "Air Force".  Did you hear about the lady who is running barefoot (mostly) from Boston to Huntington Beach?  She went through Des Moines yesterday.

One thing about me?- I was in love with Marilyn Monroe, at age 11.

  • I took piano lessons for 7 years, but you can't really tell. I suck at reading music. LOL

  • I college I dreamed of being a race car driver.  My friend and I used to skip classes so that we could go to watch the Indy 500 practice days... always skipped on Friday so that our sunburns would be better before Mon. classes.

  • I eat egg noodles with my fingers. I have been doing this since before I can remember. After 23 years, eating them with a fork just feels unnatural.

  • I have never been in an airport.

  • Very cool things about you! :) .... I posted the self portraits non smiling challenge :) Hope ya go take a peak... Not as good as half of the ones I seen so far!

HMM... I love randomly coloring, and painting...(although I am not true ARTIST..) ... and love the sound of the rain... and enjoy relaxing atmospheres like the beach! :) ..... LAWD In a paragraph I think I have told you pratically my whole life story! :)

  •           I have never been lost. I have however taken many unplanned side treks when traveling...

  • Im definitely going to go through and read all these! I love learning new things, for now I've read the....Harry Potter facts, penis facts, Dr Seuss facts, and cannabis facts, hehe :)  Interesting stuff for sure!

Something you may not know about me? hmm.  I've had a xanga account since about 2005, but I never made any real connections before the last couple of years.  I'm very glad I started commenting more and making some friends, I love my xangans <3

  • I love you too Beth.

That was a great day with you.

  • After traveling 5,000 miles together in a minivan, you know pretty much all there is to know!

  • I am a whistler.  So was my Daddy.  I'm guessing that's why I do.  I've heard that people that whistle are happy.  Guess that's me.  Just one happy camper!   Oh, and I used to square dance.  I could dance the female and male parts. Came in handy when we were short a man and it meant I got to dance alot! I miss that.  We were the Wheelers and Dealers!  LOL

  • I have a cannabis story.

  • Oh goodness, all these trivial facts!
Wherever shall I keep the useful ones?

  • I wish that I did not know that cannibis is a natural aprodesiac for women, especially, and good lord; Do not go and get yourself busted for trying to buy some.  Sadly, it leaves you with a headache in the morning.  At 63, you know that people are lying about this sex thing in to your nineties, and what is worse; Now and then you feel like waking your husband, in my case, or someone elses husband after you just had a dream that you were much younger.  No, you morons, our parts do not grow back together;  we have fewer of them.  Can we all join Jimmy Carter and just be truthful that we have lust in our hearts, or we still remember lustful moments.  I think these are called, "Lust in Retrospectives."

What more do you want to know about me?  I do not remember how I got to heavy, but I do not worry about it so much now.  Do I really want to look like a stick with eyes and a fading dye job?  All five of my children are very smart, but my husband is one of those Mensa types.  They wanted him to join, but he declined.  All three boys have astonishingly high IQs;  all in 140s to one, when put on a graft to correct for his dyslexia is at 178.  My girls were born a month early as twins when I was 38, and I was loosing my life -- bleeding, and one child was paralyzed on her left side until she was 9 months old;  She got up and walked.

When I get interested in something, I have no discipline; I have to learn everything about it.  I have a memory for things people do not even know that they  said going back to early childhood.  I still love a man I met in Washington, D.C. before I got married, and he probably forgot me five years after parting.  I have realized many years to late that one man I knew who I med when in college at MTSU was one big fake, who would live a life as a fake, thought he was such a peach of an atheist, and bragged about his sexual conquests, as I looked on, thought he was beautiful, and kept in touch after he married an atheist British girl.  Honestly sweethearts, they were made for each other, for they were a mutul admiration society for each other, and even after 20 years; they boasted of their perfection.  Now they are both older than I am;  I do not know where they are, but it took me 40 years to know that this guy was a usurious jerk, and I am almost ashamed that I admired him to the point of looking him up years later.  They visited us in Cincinnati.  I am certain we bought his dinner when he would come to San Francisco, and I could look at him and my heart would skip beats.  They were the kind who always told you what they were reading now, and it would be so much fun to tell them;  "Well, I am reading a whole lot of Xanga these days."

Everyone should end their confessions with a zinger; Mine is a no brainer;  If my book, "Pinkhoneysuckle," got picked up as a movie; then I think I would invite every Xanga friend who encouraged me to a catered evening at my place in San Francisco, or would meeting up at Haystack Pizza and having pitchers of beer do the trick?

  • Great links. The penis link is hilarious (since I don't have a penis).

    Here's something you don't know about me : I'm a twin.

  • Something about me? Let's see, oh yeah, I love to cook! I know, I know, that's hard to believe, but it's true!

And, I sing Jingle Bells to myself, a lot. All year long! It keeps the crazies away. Or helps me feel more at home amongst them! Hard to tell the difference lately! lol

  • They say Cream's "White Room" is a song about Ginger Baker's stay in drug rehab.  It's probably an urban myth, although we know Ginger Baker did have a drug problem.  I do not consider him one of the great drummers.  In fact, he wasn't very good.  Sorry.

Something about me? I knocked out Dave Menefee when I was thirteen in a fight with boxing gloves.

  • I lived in Galveston for 4 years! Even though I have lived in hotter places, and colder places - in Galveston I experienced the muggiest heat, and the bone-chilliest cold. I saw and smelled the deadest dead, and the deadest living. Hurricanes chased me from the Ilse more than once. I miss a old friend I met there that died in a hit and run when she was 40! She joked with me that she would be my maid if I ever got rich - if I would be her chauffeur if she got rich. She got hit by a car instead.

Then a hurricane scraped it clean not too long ago.

I don't think I ever need go back there...

    But who knows?

    Mondays!

    I am off!

    (But not off work... *sigh*)

  • I'm proud of people our age who have never been admitted to the hospital or er. I went to er once, but I don't remember it, so it doesn't count, right?

About me: I loved Bobby Sherman and David Cassidy when I was a teenager. Also when a teenager (the Age of Stupid Acts), I used to play "In A Godda da Vidda" on our console stereo loudly, and hold the album cover open behind my head to funnel the sound to my ears! No wonder I have a hearing problem today!

  • Dear Beth,

My online presence and my "real" presence are pretty well intertwined, and I created my online presence knowing exactly what I was doing, so at this point in time, I'd say if one reads my blog, and/or has perused my websites, they pretty much know all about me.

Anything I don't write about or seem to "casually mention" isn 't something I ever put online in the first place.

I'm impressed that you got your 10 things lists from different websites. I actually clicked a couple of links BEFORE clicking the one about my penis.

  • I thought of something you (and most people) wouldn't know about me...I suffer from Social Anxiety Disorder. People often mistake my standing in the corner watching as my being a snob, but actually I'm paralyzed with anxiety.

  • The only time I was admitted to the hospital was in 1964 when all of us except my youngest sister had our tonsils taken out.

  • These are interesting tid-bits. Hmm something you don't know about me? I clean whenever I'm bored and have nothing better to do XD

  • I know nothing about music except how to listen to it.
