The Unexpected (Warning:another undies pic)
I posted once about buying my first pretty nighty HERE
I thought because I am so overweight
I never deserved to wear pretty or sexy lingerie.
But when I tried on a pretty nighty for the first time I knew...
it was so unexpected how it made me feel
so pretty, soft and feminine.I bought a pretty bra and I liked that too,
what I really like about pretty underthings is that no one has a clue!
I look like a farmer on the outside
but I know what is beneath the flannel and jeans.
So unexpected.
The bra set is from CaciqueI never expected to enjoy beautiful lingerie,
I thought I was too fat and overweight,
I weigh 250 lbs and am 5'4"
and I am plain
I wear no make-up or jewelry.I did not expect to feel so feminine, so pretty
just because of something I wear on the outside.People do not expect me to be wearing beautiful lingerie
beneath my farmer duds.People do not expect to see a photo of me in my sexy lingerie
or for me to show my fat to the masses.
(I would never wear a bikini or 2 piece in public
THIS is my swimsuit)I posted the pic of me in my skivvies yesterday
not too sure of the responses I would get.
Most people were kind and encouraging.
Some people came and went without a word,
maybe disappointed to see me half naked.
Someone remarked that it was unexpected.
...very unexpected I am sure!Life is full of surprises,
sometimes I surprise myself.

I've only started following your blog recently, I justed to say that your personality and smile always lends a little sunshine even when it is not sunny out. Discovering yourself is wonderful, especially when clad in pretty lingerie--you owe it to yourself to feel beautiful. I always find a great set of underthings does wonders for confidence.

I was one of those who didn't say anything and I wanted to let you know that it wasn't because I was thinking anything negative, it's just because I haven't quite gotten used to this sort of thing yet. I am trying to accept that our bodies and our enjoyment of them and of each other's bodies are not things that have to be hidden to be dealt with properly. It's a challenging thing, but I do know how much it can do for one's general outlook to feel pretty. I am glad that you do and that you have gotten such a positive response here. I recently forced myself to post an erotic poem that I had written, and I still feel awkward about it, but I think I may push myself to do more.

aww get it girl! i remember my mom complaining long ago about my dad wanting her to wear lingerie. she never saw the point because it ends up coming off fast anyways. i agreed...until i bought my first sexy nightie
i love the feeling of wearing lingerie or nice bra/pantie sets. it makes me feel sexy, powerful...on fire. 
Every woman owes it to herself to buy pretty lingerie. Even if no one ever sees it, it is amazing the way it makes us feel...beautiful, confident and feminine.

I think it's a lovely photo. There's something particularly important and interesting about a fuller figure to me (remember I'm thinking with artist brain here). I'm repulsed by the uber-thin models that have taken over our media. I know it sounds like one of those trite things that people say too much, but it is true that real beauty comes from within. You radiate with happiness here and that is simply beautiful!
You also make me think that maybe I should buy something pretty to wear. I don't ever pay any attention to that - I'm married. lol... That did something odd in my brain. I don't want people to be attracted to me IRL when they oughtn't be.

I had this book once, about how to be sexy. And one of the first things it said was to wear sexy underwear, no matter what clothing you wore or whatever your plans were, for the very reasons you wrote about here. I tried it, but I found the sexy lingerie to be SO uncomfortable and binding and scratchy. WHAAA! So I ended up wearing tie dye skivvies. lol
