The Gifts of the Xangans: Aloysius-son
When I found Xanga I felt like I found a place to fit in.
So many wonderful people from all over the world right at my fingertips.
Dingdongdingbat and her kids adopted me and became a real part of my life.
Her son, @Aloysius-son is a phenomenal artist and an amazing painter.
HERE is a Shoutout featuring some of his work.
He recently posted my Portrait he is painting.
Today I am writing about the painting that touched my soul.
I've mentioned before that there were issues in our home when I was growing up.
sent me this beautiful painting in the mail.
The day after I received this painting I was on Xanga reading on a friend's site
that her brother sent her a photograph and as I read it I thought
"I wish that I had the type of brother that would send me a photo".
After reading the post I started to feel a little hopeless.
My oldest brother was 5 yrs older than me and was mistreated by my dad.
My brother became a bully and I was his target from the day
I came home from the hospital. He hated me and I can not even begin to explain
the turmoil he put me through every single day of my childhood.
I forgave him and love him but often have longed for what could have been.
But God whispered to me
"You do have a brother who sent you more than a photograph,
he sent you a painting."
I messaged Al_son to tell him how much the picture meant to me.
Al_son replied:
"You are very welcome.
Perhaps the very same God whispered to me
"Seedsower would like this".
The foolishness of God is wiser than the wisest man."

Aloysius-son is cool
That is a beautiful painting, and I'm glad God sawto it that it arrived at the perfect time.
Beautiful!
that is wonderful
. and a really beautiful painting.
What a beautiful painting!
J. aka A-s is one of my favorite Xangans! You are blessed to have him in your life! He is wise, sweet, funny, compassionate, talented, and so much more!
Often our "adopted" family members/friends are more of family to us than our blood-relatives. I think that's cool!
HUGS to you, Beth and HUGS to A-s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ya'know, in my experience family is more of a matter of heart rather than blood.
What a gorgeous painting!
Psalm 68:6 "God sets the lonely in families." Sometimes brothers turn up where you don't expect them.
I'm glad to hear that your spirits were lifted when they needed it. He's someone I've just recently begun to see around Xanga & have recently added to my friend/sub list. He seems like a good guy. That is a beautiful painting - it seems he has some talent.
I see similar problems with my nephew and his sister (also younger by quite a few years). My brother tries to have him stop teasing her and it keeps on simmering.
I suppose an older brother thinks he can pick on a sister and get away with it. I do hope my niece doesn't suffer too much from the annoyance (she does well in school). Sometimes the parents are hopeless in trying to prevent sibling rivalry.
John really is one of the good guys around here. He might be a tad flirty for some folks tastes, but I rather enjoy it when he flirts with me!
i love that. it is surprising where family is turning up these days. apparently, water is truly thicker than blood.
I have another friend here who also found a new brother on Xanga. It's so cool he sent you that painting!
He is a very talented man! Wish I had a brother who would paint pictures for me...oh wait, my son can do that! Love you!
Family is what or who you give your heart to.
He is not only a pillar of Xanga but a pillar of Western Civilization. He is a gentleman and a scholar...
...okay, well at least he's a scholar.
this was very sweet, how wonderful you got exactly what you needed, even if it didn't click right away!
I stumbled upon ur site! And was in awe of what I read!
How I feel the very same way about xanga! <3 Hugs and Love to you what a beautiful picture he sent
He does sound like a good friend! I've got no words about the history. -- But yeah, that's a pretty painting!
Definitely a beautiful thing!!!
Very pretty xx
I really enjoy Al_son's work (and his sense of humor). This is an especially nice piece!
He is not only talented with paints, but also with friendship, I see.
Seriously, glorious~
I might have to challenge him to another duel! I wonder what we will fight over this time? Hmmm... shglaf
It is a beautiful painting and as everyone has said, brothers can come from the heart not just blood... I'm thinking that God works in mysterious ways and this is just another wonderful example! *hugs to you*
Family doesn't always have to be blood-related.
I need to write a post about Al_son, too. He's amazing; not just his art and his humor, but his sensitivity to God and to the needs of others. I should write that post today, but today I have to go find a new phone system. We are down to one little corded phone with broken Caller ID. I hate not knowing who is calling. Especially during election season.
Thank you for writing this. I do believe, Beth . . . that the same God sent you to me. I am glad I have you and other Xangans in my life to lean on when things are tough. Last night was especially hard. I'm glad I can read this in the morning before my class.
Thank you
gorgeous painting!!!
@buddly47 - LOL!
That was a very touching post. Thanks for sharing it. I don't have that many Xanga friends, but John is one of them.
That is Beatiful!!!!!!!!
i wish I had good friends like you have
@buddly47 -
Did I really say that??? Hmmm. I guess I really can be a nice guy if I try!
Love this.
What a beautiful response.
