lol they make bags big ones but have a christmas print on them
Quick, effective and handy for the wrapping paper of gifts that were wrapped in the typical wrappers! I have to admit that I have wrapped a few gifts the shortcut way as well, except I used a bike bag, which was also very festive since it was printed.
Works for me!
or an envelope would work,too
My grandfather does that sometimes too The kids never even notice the wrapping cause they are too busy tearing in to it!!
My dad did this one year. Now we almost always get at least one gift in a trash bag.
What a great idea -- now I can feel comfortable to give away my unused roll-ends of Christmas paper!
What a novel idea! And after all the presents are unwrapped you already have a bag for the discarded wrapping paper and boxes. Handy!
Your mom sounds like an interesting character.
Niiiice!! Saving time and going green (using the store bag...). YOu just throw the paper away anyway.
Mildred is the Queen of Simplicity.
I'm interested in the technology. No, not the wrapping, I got that part down. I mean the photography. Did you really have to laboriously white-out the background between all those pine-needles? Makes hair look simple. And the bags are each a little different, like the Pep Boys? I almost wish we 'did' Christmas here. Looks like it'd be fun bagging stuff with your crowd. I might even put one on your silly head, ha. Kidding. Or at least there'd be little air holes. If I remember. Merry Merriment!
I Love Mildew - she is so stinkin smart
@jsolberg - I have a background eraser tool that gets rid of the background for me . Yay for little air holes, one does like to breathe! My family are pathetic wrappers...you could probably even teach us a thing or two about Christmas wrapping ...or even rapping...bet you could write a good rap about wrap.
Sounds like a good idea. I'm about to that point.
Where was this idea when all nine of my kids were home???
That's how Santa carries gifts.
Hey, NOBODY can accuse her of not recycling! HAHA!
sounds good to me!
Your Mum sounds like my kind of gal!
I'm the worst wrapper in the world and love this idea but my wife would kill me! BTW, she insists on carrying on her family's tradition of carefully unwrapping and SAVING[!] all the paper for next year. Though now that she has sons in their 20's she is beginning to relent....
I love Mildred's wrapping! Store bags make it easy to return stuff too! I had one daughter I could have really used this idea for even her birthday! I think I finally got one thing she really loved and kept!
That is beginning to sound like a great idea after spending the afternoon in the dungeon wrapping. I used to love to wrap and make each package look pretty and special...not so much any more..
Sounds good to me! Wrapping is nice sometimes, but for the most part it's just wasting paper.
aw poor Mildoo, you know, she should try ten children every year!!!!! sigh
Now that was briliant!
ROFLMAO!
I did the same thing once, only that I use both red and green bags! I think it's good because we can reuse the bags and it's very convenient.
Thank you so much for the red hats. You gave me 3, and they are so lovely. I'm so sorry for the mix up. I like what you give to the Xanga community.
Wishing you and you family a Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!
I call that practical...
That's great. I think people can still use a garbage bag and add some nice red ribbons on it.
I've been tempted. One year I tried to wrap everything using bags. I ended up with a couple of the gifts in store bags - How do you wrap a new bed pillow anyway?! hehe!
You know, that's not a bad idea. At least she still does get them gifts, and I'm sure she appreciates it. I have on one side a relative who did all her packages in newspapers, and on the other side one who insisted on saving the pretty paper for next year, because it was too nice to throw away.
I adore your mom!
lol..this is quite practical. but i would still love to see all the colorful boxes under the tree on christmas eve!
So clever!
hahahahaha.. now, thats thinking outside the box !!!
This year I'm giving cash and gift cards. Gotta like gift bags though. Sometimes I get lucky while while wrapping, but most of my gifts have been wrapped with love, not skill. :)
Hahahaha. God bless her! Sounds like my kind of idea. Lol. I am wrapping paper wrapping challenged!
Have a very blessed and meaningful, memorable, joyous Chrustmas, Bethsworth!
But...but...I *like* wrapping presents! It makes them look so special and exciting. If I could somehow justify the expense, I'd wrap every present, put it in a box, and wrap THAT box just to have more paper for everybody to tear into. It's such a fun moment. :p

This reminds me so much of the way my gram used to wrap.....
I never got the trash bag gift bag. Toys that were usually unwrapped where the oddly shaped toys that "Santa" could not figure out how to wrap. It's a cute idea though. I would just had to be a family member and accidentally mistake the toy bags for bags of trash. LOL
hehehe... that's one way to do it!
Hey it works!
Actually a very cute idea!
Buwhahahahaha, That's hysterical!
A poem for my Seedsowing sister
I am making this up as I go along so if it get a little rediculus, just bear with me!
She scatters the shadows along the dusty roads She skips along Stilling turbulent waters She wears her heart like a Sunday dress and she sows
