When the Sun is Just Right for Photos
Here where I live in a valley the sun has a beautiful golden glow in the morning
as it comes over the mountain
to light the valley and in the evening as it is going down.
This time of day is called The Golden Hour.
The Golden Hour (sometimes referred to as the Magic Hour)

Morning
Yesterday I saw that glow and ran for my camera,
I had Cider as a model but the flash hurt his eyes and he bailed.
I took a few of myself to get a new profile pic
Then I played with Cider since he was staring at me like this

I have 3 favorites in this beautiful series. First, your profile pic. Second, the last one of Cider. Third, the gravestone one. Exceptionally gorgeous and ethereal looking! I was thrilled when I discovered our golden hour here a long time ago. It seems, though, that I am usually too busy to be out there capturing golden moments. You inspire me with this!

Light coming in the new-day hours, and light as it's fading in the evening adds such peace and hope and beauty to the world! It really is a magical time! I take an early morn walk, and then another right before sundown most days.
I can't pic a favorite amongst these photos...they are all so good! And you need to know...your smile adds light to the world and to Xanga!

NICE PICTURES!! I love the corn crib! Did you do your hair yourself? It is really pretty and suits you. Elita got her driver's license yesterday. I put up pics and a short video.
Thanks , I had it cut pretty short about 4 months ago and when I was out west in all the sun it got redder,it is a lot darker normally,I do not color it yet.
those are my two favorite times of the day to take pictures of the garden.. I have a few pics of Cider looking at me the same exact way.. haha Your new profile pictures are beautiful. I love you.

Aw sunset
That one with the sunray looks like something out of a Twilight movie
Twice or so a week I bike into the office - 15 miles each way. Nearly half my trip is through wooded parklands and it is so incredibly gorgeous to catch the magic hour ligh in the morning. Soon though it will be darker when I start - yuck! I have taken at least 1,000 pictures of such light in the morning and evening and have been lucky to get some good ones.
