The real Head to Toe Pic (SPC Week6)
I took this when I was getting a facial.
I have Keratosis pilaris which is a common skin condition
in which a protein in the skin called keratin forms hard plugs within hair follicles.
My cheeks were always so rosy and looked chapped.... even redder than that pic.
People called me "Rosy" or "Chappy"
It is the main reason I do not wear make-up, I had enough color on my face.
About 10 years ago I went with a friend to get a facial.
The Esthetician said she thought a few treatments of Microdermabrasion
would help to clean up the pores and reduce the redness.
It worked and before long I had a nice complexion.
I am still a little "Ruddy Complected" but it looks healthy.
Thanks to all who participate in this challenge and make it fun!

Purdy lady! Did you know tretinoin gets rid of keratosis pilaris? That's what I use and it's gone.
You seem to have great complexion now.
@ShimmerBodyCream - Do you take it orally? I stay away from them if possible,an ointment I would try.
@seedsower - It is a form of vitamin A. It is in a creme that you apply to your skin. Retin-A and Renova are popular brands that contain it. It also got rid of my stupid eyewrinkles too. With my insurance its only $10 for a huge tube that has lasted me over a year, and I still have tons left. http://www.aboutrenova.com/ I tried it after http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZJlIHZPZF4&feature=fvsr that video suggested it. (at 3:11) and it got rid of it for me too.
i love the angles, beth. and looking lovely, as always. i have never gotten a facial in my life. or any kind of massage
@ShimmerBodyCream - you so do not have eye wrinkles
@hilaw - I didn't til I was 38 (I will be 49 in August) and because I was sick of the chapped skin. I do love good massage though! I got my first Pedi two summers ago with Saintvi, I like that too.
you are a very pretty gal
@SisterMae - backatcha!
I wonder, is your skin now more sensitive to sunshine?
I loved your're rosy cheeks.. It reminds me of Mrs. Claus, you are Mrs. Claus of Xanga bringing joy
@nattata - It always was and still is,I burn easily, I always use sunscreen.
Love the facial picture! And in the bottom picture you surprisingly look a lot like Oprah! I'm laughing here!

an esthestician i met at the gym once told me that she liked to use our Mary Kay microderm set (approx 30 DIY applications for $55) between her treatments so she could go longer between them. let me know if you need more info about that...

Do you take it orally? I stay away from them if possible,an ointment I would try.
