@rebootie - I have a whole collection of those books (Robin Hood,Great Expectations,Little Men etc),I love that illustrator .
That doll just reminded me that I have a porcelain doll in my closet…I need to get it out and give it to someone. Long story, but it’s not the doll’s fault, and she should really be appreciated.

I love the graphics on the older books~ it’s how I chose my Zane Greys and Grosset&Dunlaps. ~and the ice shot~ reminds me of clear pomegranate seeds. So pretty!
