Something to make you laugh
I posted this a few years ago but I thought of it today
and thought we could use a good laugh right now.
This is a true story and no toys were harmed (much) in the production.One summer morning my mom said to me rather solemnly
"I have to tell you something"
I thought "Oh no, who died?"
She said "Last night you ran over Elmo".
I thought she said Elmer, I said "Elmer who?"
She said "Ellll-moooooooo",
her mouth forming that over exagerated "O" shape
people make when they talk to deaf people(haa, like I do that when I talk to her,
she needs a hearing aid but won't get it)
I went outside and looked under the van, lo and behold , I did.
My nephew was playing in a puddle in the driveway
and left Elmo there when he went inside...
Not to worry ,a rescue party was dispatched!
Elmo was a little flat at first but made a full recovery
