  • You have a lot of time on your hands???

  • I like Charlie Browns little Christmas tree.  But, is that a movie?

  • Loved the monks!

  • I have never seen that video before. That was the neatest thing I have ever seen!!

  • @DanishDoll - I was looking at Beth's pictures of her xanga friends with santa hats. I just wanted you to know that I think your photo is most inspiring.  Merry Christmas to you and yours......

  • Okay, the monks just made me laugh so hard - I loved the little tiny one that kept hopping to be the right height. SO GOOD!

  • @armnatmom - Why, thank you! I love my old guy! We've been married 37 years now. It's still good.

  • Here's a cool Christmas thing: http://www.portablenorthpole.tv/watch/guest/iDePuLBMb_3VPtTUUvTHwg It's a video message from Santa. This is the one I sent my son...lol

And my favorite Christmas movie is.... the original Miracle on 34th Street!

  • @New_dog - well A Charlie Brown Christmas was the first prime-time animated TV special based upon the comic strip Peanuts, they now list it with Christmas Movies. i guess it is debatable but I consider it a Christmas Movie.

  • @kristinabean - That was such a sweet video, I hope Aaron can't read..Santa said Ohio but on the map it said Delaware!

  • Oooooh Christmas Cookies.com... I must check that out. <3 Coookies!

  • @seedsower - lol... He can't read. But the city we live in is called Delaware. And the video we made for our daughter said she had a note in her file that placed her on "Naughty Watch!"

  • my favorite christmas movie is white christmas and a charlie brown christmas.

  • The only thing here that caught my eye (I strongly dislike Christmas) was the Beat Up Santa. Sadly, it didn't work!  BUAAAAAA!!!!!

@BingleBot - Hey, I see you in my inbox (probably because I subbed to you) but I can't see yer page cuz yer on friends lock. Add me?

  • @Unstoppable_Inner_Strength - Added! Gah...this friends lock is not really working for me. It's not what I expected. There's too many people that used to visit my site but we weren't actually "friends". I'm considering removing the friends lock. Especially considering I didn't really have a strong reason to do it in the first place lol.

  • This is really great. I bookmark a lot of these already. Thanks for the post.

  • A couple of the ornaments I have set aside to give you are worthy of that list of creepy ornaments. We have three of those geeky Star Trek ornaments, plus a Neil Armstrong talking ornament. We are uber geeks! The Woolworth storefront made me smile; my dad started out in those tiny little Woolworth Five & Dime stores. My favorite Christmas movie... probably A Christmas Story. I love A Muppet Family Christmas, too. We had it and The Christmas Toy on a home-recorded VHS that wore out years ago. The monk video made me laugh.

  • Beth, Thank you for this!!  I have laughed so hard at the Silent Monks and I needed a good hearty laugh today!!!  My two favorite Christmas movies will always be Holiday Inn and White Christmas followed very closely with Meet Me In St. Louis (Love Judy Garland in this one). I also love one of your favorites, Bob Hope in Lemon Drop Kid.  Classics!!

  • cool stuff and favorite movie is Rudolph

  • Oh these look exciting!!  Great post.

  • NICE CHRISTMAS SITES!! MY FAVORITE MOVIE IS A CHRISTMAS CAROL  with Vanessa Williams as the Scrooge.

We used to have a Woolworth's in town when I was a kid in NJ.

  • I have way too many favorite Christmas movies to list.

  • My favorite Christmas movie is The Christmas Story.

  • Loved the links! The cookie recipies were just the thing and the Silent Monks were very entertaining! Thanks!!

  • Smokey Mountain Christmas is #1. I wish it was out on DVD though :( . Home Alone 1 and 2 are close behind as my faves.

  • I laughed out loud at the video of the "silent monks" sooooo great! Thanks for compiling all of this! My favorite Christmas movie is "It's a Wonderful Life" but there are definitely a few on your list that I would like to see!

  • That first video is going to give me some crazy dreams tonight.

  • Oh gosh.... I totally love the Silent Monks performance. That was excellent. Thanks for the other links. I found them useful.

  • Thanks for the GREAT Christmas fun.

  • I always try to watch at least one version of A Christmas Carol every Christmas, and I have it as an audio book, now, performed by Patrick Stewart and that's marvellous! I listened to that last Christmas and will listen again this year. I also like the puppet ones, Little Drummer Boy, Frosty the Snowman and Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer.

  • I loved the silent monks.  That was awesome!!!

  • That Monks video cracks me up.

  • I love those Elf Yourself~ too fun!

  • Thank you very much

  • I remember the old Woolworth stores....that brought back so many memories...I use to love to shop in there...and the little cafeteria with the waitresses in their caps and the counter, and the wooden floors....wow, thanks for the trip down memory lane.....I worked for them as a teenager...not the Woolworth store, I think they had closed down by then, but for the Woolco stores....

My favorite Christmas movies are It's a Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th St (the original) and Scrooge (the one with Alastair Sims)....
