Then and Now, My Graduation Pic
Tonight I am going to my 30th year High School Reunion.
I can not believe how fast the years go by.
We used to have 50's Day in school and dress up like the crew from Happy Days,
I could not believe my mom had lived in that time, it felt so long ago to us.
In reality it had only been 25 years earlier, now the 90's are like the 50's were to us.For my Senior Portrait I made a blouse to wear but the collar would not lay right,
at the last minute I grabbed a blouse off of the mending pile
that someone gave my mom to fix. I never liked my Senior Photo.
Here it is, taken the summer of 1979, I graduated in 1980.
My hair was lighter from swimming in the creek all summer and being in the sun,
in the winter it gets dark again.Here I am now in 2010
A few years ago I did a " Show us your Senior Portrait/Graduation Picture"
some of the folks do not blog here anymore,but some do! Check 'em out.

I just attended my 45th last summer.
@kafekotka - Looking at that sadness made me cry this morn, there was so much turmoil that summer,my parents divorced and we moved from the creek and a few other issues ,ones I have only recently worked thru. Yes,I am happier now.
@jtqueenbee30 - your sweet pic is in the last one and I will be glad to have it in the new one too!

frankly, i was very awkward looking my senior year, so i did not even take a senior pic. lolz.

I think your senior picture is beautiful..you haven't really changed so much..you look great..
You look much more confident in the last picture. I think that's normal. I know I was very shy and unsure of myself in high school. Now I don't care (too much) what others think. I am who I am. You are beautiful. Enjoy the Reunion.

As the others have pointed out, apart from appearing a bit wiser, you've hardly changed a bit. I'll bet not many of your classmates can say the same. 1979 ... same year as me!
@BookMark61 - Thanks...you look like a youngster yerself. The pic was taken in 79 for the 79-80 school year.
Usually, graduation pictures are not ones people would want to keep, much less show others. Fortunately for you, yours looks great. Since you haven't changed that much, we would all know that it is you.

I agree that the only real difference between your two photos is that you look happier in the recent one.
The good guy has been forageing through the photo bins and albums and posting pictures on his FB. It must be the season for looking back. Have a good time at the reunion and I'll post my ancient picture if you choose to do this again. I enjoyed seeing everyone's. You have that ageless gene that keeps you looking young!
