  • Nothing Much...

Cranberry relish made and chilling, pumpkin  custard made and cooling,
one turkey stuffed in the traditional way and in the oven,
the other I followed Emeril's Cranberry Glazed Turkey  recipe for
and it is in the oven too, spinach salad and dressing made, corn ready to cook,
Ma is making the sweet potatoes ...
    we eat at 4:00.
So, while I wait I have been watching Hulu while making dishtowel angels ,
    the bows are finished.
I loved the Thanksgiving episode of Raising Hope.

I have noticed that my blog is well traveled,I wish I got to some of these places!
And what the heck is up with folks checking out the chatboard?
Hardly anyone even uses that to chat anymore.

What are you having for dinner?

  • Very well traveled blog, impressive. Can't wait for my Tryptophan induced nap. Happy Thanksgiving! =]

  • A helping of quiet reflection, a spoonful of insight, a moment of understand, and a huge portion of love. (pats heart and points to you)

  • Nothing much my ass! LOLOL

Too much to answer my Skype call  !!! LOLOOL

  • I get footprints on the chatboard too. I can't help but think bots are doing that.

See this post? http://soapandshampoo.xanga.com/726652399/animals-that-make-no-sense-whatsoever/ It has over 600 views- more views than other post in my current archives. Footprints are always hitting that post, then checking the chatboard. Too weird. :/

  • I happened upon Raising Hope and just loved it! I loved the Thanksgiving episode too. That baby is adorable!

    Happy Turkey/turkeys day!

  • We ate at noon. Turkey, dressing, candied yam souffle, broccoli casserole, mashed potatoes, rolls, canned cranberry sauce (because I don't like it), turkey gravy from a jar (because I don't like it), wine (because I LIKE it!). Then off to see the Harry Potter movie and home to apple pie and German chocolate pecan pie.

  • Totally non-traditional here!  New York strip steaks, shrimp, green bean casserole, rolls and cherry pie with ice cream.  (Papa has a distaste for turkey &, at 92, is entitled to whatever type of Thanksgiving dinner he wants!)  We kept it simple, only 4 of us eating this year.

  • Turkey, mashed potatoes, candied pecan sweet potatoes, giblet gravy, regular stuffing, oyster stuffing, green bean casserole, rolls, relish tray (carrot and celery sticks, black and green olives, sweet and dill pickles), cheese tray (white cheddar, smoked gouda, colby, pepper jack), cranberry jelly, wine, cider, coffee, tea, pumpkin pie, chocolate pecan pie, apple pie!!

  • We had turkey, mashed taters, mac 'n cheese, green beans, corn, stuffin', sweet cornbread, cranberry sauce, dressed eggs and gravy. Oh, and pumpkin and sweet tater pie for dessert! I'm currently washing it all down with iced tea.

I think I'll be going back for 3rds in a little bit...

  • turkey, sweet potatoes with brown sugar and butter, mashed potatoes, oyster stuffing, green bean casserole, yeast rolls, corn casserole, cranberry relish and then pumpkin pies, mincemeat pies, frosted cookies, shortbread and pumpkin cheesecake bread.  way tooooo much!!!

  • We had spiral ham with Ina Garten's orange marmalade glaze (oh gosh, so good).  I made Pasta E Figioli soup (recipe from Olive Garden). We made ham sandwiches with crescents and croissants (yum). For dessert I made cranberry cheesecake and pumpkin streusel cake. We had wine with our dinner. Also had little smokies in John Boy and Billy's BBQ sauce in the crockpot and a big pot of hot apple cider.  Very simple but oh so good.  Just me, David, my brother Robbie and our friends Steve and Sarah, but we had a great day. I know yours was every bit as good cause it made my mouth water just reading about it!!   I love those angels!!

  • I wıll add Turkey...     Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgıvıng.  -g

  • I am hoping for some Thanksgiving food porn

  • @ShimmerBodyCream - Socks is good at food porn.I did take a pic of my plate though. How was your day?

  • @seedsower - Yay! Food pictures! Mine was good. Not having Thanksgiving dinner til today though because my brother had to go to 2 of his fiances Thanksgiving dinners on Thursday so we waited for him! That dishtowel angel is so cute, are you shopping on Black Friday?

  • Since this was Joe and Macy's first Thanksgiving since moving to Oklahoma~ we went traditional meal.  ~and I didn't kill me like I thought it might.   Joe even made the turkey, I think that is the reason I survived.

    Love your towel angels!

  • ~ and I want to say how thankful I am that Ma was able to be with you all~ and making the sweet potatoes even!

  • My chatboard got hit by random countries as well.  ♥
