Old Soda Pop Clocks
PPS'10 or 'Perfect Picture Search' is
a specific subject to look for during the year to get the perfect photo of.
This year the subjects are 'Clocks and/or Horizon Lines'.
I Saw these vintage clocks at a Soda Shop
Remember Frostie?
'Frostie Old Fashioned Root Beer' was in all the soda machines when I was a kid.
I remember where we went camping there was an old soda machine
that had bottled soda pop in it
It was at a pavillion and it was the only one around
where the sodas were still 10¢ a piece.
My mom gave us 50¢ and we could get 5 sodas,one for each kid.
My sister always got a Frostie.

Oh, Beth, I love, love, love Frostie! Do they still make it? I love going antiquing and seeing old pop bottles from our youth. I'd love to have that Frostie clock hanging in my kitchen! I'm so into kitschy stuff!

Those clocks are great!
I loved Orange Crush as a kid. And it was a special treat to go to the A&W to get a rootbeer in a frosty mug. mmm!
There used to be a hot dog stand across the street from house our in Flatwoods, Ky where you could get two dogs and a bottle of Frostie (the short squatty ones) for a dollar. I practically lived on 'em!
I cannot wait the hour for drink !! It is awfully hot here !!

Nice clocks! I do remember those 10 cent sodas. Now the dime is rapidly going the way of the penny - there is nothing you can buy with it.
I don't think I've ever heard of Frostie root beer before.

There's a picture of me as a toddler sitting on the beach, wearing enormous sunglasses, holding a can of Diet Coke between my legs and sipping it through a straw. I have been a Diet Coke girl since day one.

I love the frostie clock! My fave when I was a kid was Nehi Grape soda...haven't thought about that in years. These days I'm a diet Pepsi kinda gal...
I remember a barber shop in my past with a coke machine like that one ..........
I don't know if we had Frostie in the Northeast . . . I don't remember it . . . just A&W and of course, Moxie . . . I'm not sure if that's considered root beer, but it's some of the nastiest stuff I've ever tasted. That Pepsi clock is SUH-WEET!

Have always been a fan of Coke but like all types- Cream sodas, root beers, birch beers, strawberry, orange, Squirt, the "uncola". Just not a big fan of ginger ale nor grape.
