In Memory of JStickmann
I loved the way Stick always encouraged me in my photography.
I made this pic in memory of him.
I blended one of his paintings and two of his photos.
I like to think of him like this...
in a bright place with the angels where there sorrow is nevermore. Here are blended photos of him.
He was an incredible artist and an encourager.
He used both gifts well to bring out the beauty of life.
Comments he left for me...You leave me in awe..they are all so smashingly vibrant
and so well done
...Yay all the way around..
this is not envy but great respect and awe for the work
you do you artist you!
...Peace!You know you totally blow me away with your photos
and even nature puts on its best to pose for you
....Peace!I was planning on going to one of his shows ,
I just loved the way he had with color, vibrant colors. My Sentence Stands
Cheers AgainI miss him, I miss his kindness and his words of encouragement.
I miss his joy for life and the way he saw things...
a leaf or feather, a flower, cloud, raindrop or pebble.
I am so glad that we had him here as a part of our community
and got to see how he colored his world.
....Peace

A very beautiful tribute to someone who seemed to be an amazing man.
*sigh* So very nice of you. I miss him too. No one could encourage like he could.
That last line is very touching...
What an incredibly beautiful piece in his honor.
Very beautiful.
I can see why you miss him... those are beautiful paintings. But what you did with the photos of him are stunning as well. A wonderful memory in art and love!
This was really wonderful. That is really cool what you did with his photos.
( I hate asking on something so touching and beautiful, but did you use corel to do that too?)

i am also at awe
jstickmann is a stunning / talented artist
I miss him too. He was such a good person, and a wonderful artist.
This was a fabulous tribute!!
Such a wonderful tribute to your friend who was obviously as gifted as you are. I did not know him, but I am certain he will be missed by those who did.
beautifully done- the perfect tribute to an artist we'll all miss so much- his voice of kindness and wisdom isn't often seen in this world- nor was his art!
What a great artist with many beautiful styles. Such a kind man too. I love your mixed photos at the top. He would have loved them too!
That was a great tribute to a Jstickmann's legacy. Nicely done.
I like those blended shots. Very nice
Those blended shots are phenomenal.
What a lovely tribute.
Stick was everything you said ... and more ... a truly good man ...
The 3rd pictures… few bracelets he wears are very familiar – my gifts to him. Darn… I’m crying again. I guess Xanga will never be the same again without him. He’s the only person care for me (really truly care for me) here on Xanga.
@RestlessButterfly - We care, truly, I do. I am sorry if you do not feel loved.
I wondered where he got the beautiful bracelets, just beautiful.
That was a very nice tribute! I'm sorry I never got to know him and see his art. Thanks for posting a few of his pieces!
Beautiful tribute to a beautiful soul, Beth. Xanga is dimmed by his absence.
Very creative
Your photos so neat! And his art - Wow!
So sorry for your loss and so it seems the world's too.
Wow, that was awesome.
(((((HUGS)))))
Those are beautiful
I was surprised to hear about him passing. I wanted to ask what happened to him but I guess his brother would have told us if he had wanted us to know.
:0)
This is beautiful. I love the photo of his hands as well. Its one of my favorites. I miss him so so much too. I still cry every day and "chat" with him on FB and Yahoo.
What a tribute to someone so deserving!
Very cool art work, the way he played the colors really jumps right at you.
Great tribute to his work and your friendship;celebrating his life.
Great tribute to his work and your friendship.
His paintings and his memories still color the world, and his presence colors the Heavens.
When I found "Jmann," we just clicked. We'd play the hat tipping game as we supported and encouraged art. I love that you did this, Beth. (tips hat in honor and respect) (pats heart and points to you)
Wonderful layered photos! He is missed but his art and heart remain. Thanks for posting this.
Great post and a fine tribute. He would be so proud
He was an amazing man and you have honored him so beautifully. I, too, miss him terribly.
What a stunningly beautiful tribute to a truly beautiful soul. I miss him too. He was so talented, and kinder than almost anybody I've ever met. I can't help thinking Stick is someplace, smiling and being humble, in response to this lovely tribute. Thank you for posting this. It made me cry.
He touched every one! His comments, his caring attitude and his gentleness made him stand out. I don't think there is a single person who knew him, can ever forget his art, or his words. You have done such a fabulous job with your artistry of his images Beth. Thank you.
Wonderful tribute. The memory of the man just sticks....truly, jstickmann.
good job and a great tribute.
John and I had several visits and one of the best was on Aug 5, 09:

I miss him... so much. He and I had so many great conversations. It still pains me to think that he is gone. Death is something that has not really struck reality for me in the past.
I'm sorry about your friend. He would have loved this tribute to him!
I miss him as do so many others. His kind heart, encouraging words and fantastic art left a void in the hearts of many Xangans. He will be missed for a long, long time. Beautiful tribute Beth. Thank You.
I do think you honored him and the things that he loved, truly a lovely tribute!
I don't think I'll ever forget him. Only rarely does one come upon a man of such character, grace, and humor. I, too, miss him and his encouragement very much.
The few comments I got from Stick were always encouraging. He seemed to be a very loving and caring man. It's a shame there are not more men like that. Beautiful tribute to a beautiful soul and wonderful man. Nicely done Beth!
Alas I didn't get to know him, but since his death I have discovered his evocative works and kindred spirit all over Xanga. I am glad you put together this tribute for him, but more over, I am even gladder you put the one together on Sunday for me while I was still alive!
God Bless JStickman and you Beth.
Such a nice tribute, Beth. We will al miss him. He's a very nice man who touches one's heart with his genuine kind comments.
This is absolutely beautiful.
very beautiful!!
Great friend. The paintings are really nice.
