Sunday Shoutout: Aloysius-son
When I joined Xanga I saw a family on here and I loved their humor and closeness,
I wanted to be a part of them and I asked to be adopted. They adopted me!
Little did I know that they would reach out and have me be a real part of their family.
They did and I love them.
HERE is a post of the Family Tree explaining it all.
Aloysius_son is my Xanga brother, and I love him like a brother.
He and his wife Lorirecently came to visit
See that post HERE
He brought me this painting of The Old Testament that he painted it.
More about this painting HERE
I have another one that he sent me in the mail.
Yesterday he did a Xanga Walkabout.
You start out by picking a trail to follow.
You can use your friends, subscribers, Xanga top featured,
recently updated or a blogring.
Then you pick the first name that appears, and go visit them.
Then you pick a person whom you have never visited,
or rarely visit from the comments and go visit them.
You keep this up until you either reach a dead end or return home.
I do that sometimes too.Sample of his posts:
The Progression of a Painting
Xanga Portraits-Stick People
A Not so Short Review- His Paintings
Too Many Mondays
Last year they came for a visit and I took this pic of him painting.Al_son is incredibly compassionate and kind, funny and so talented.
If you do not know him I suggest that you visit him.

That second painting stopped my breathing. It's wonderful. I dislike watercolors when they're done badly, but when they're done well, they're... well, as I just implied, breathtaking. =P
that is sweet.
i just love john and his family too. they are the sweetest! as are you my dear
@AibellFaeire - The more I look at that, the more I'm not even sure if it really is water color.
@AibellFaeire - You are correct in that it is not watercolor.I am glad that you like it too. I love Coral bells.
You are also a very easy person to love Beth. It's a shame some folks just get on Xanga to be ugly and cause trouble. So many friendships that could've been if everyone would take the time to get to know folks instead of being offending by every little thing. I almost did a post about this sort of thing and just decided not to. I may still, I just don't know.
That sounds like a cool thing to do and yes Al_son is very talented with paints. I'm afraid all I can draw are stickmen.
Hope your Sunday has been restful and sweet
He is incredibly talented! Thanks for introducing us!
AGAIN?!? What if he sticks me in that transporter again?
Now I'll need a big fat pillow for my big fat head!
Sounds like a cool guy, and a good friend.
I have an Al_son painting, too, and I love it! Xanga Walkabout sounds like fun. I'll have to give it a try.
I am blessed to know this talented man too!
I have one of his paintings and I gave one to my sister as a gift. He is talented and I too love the Den of Fools, even though i don't hang out on xanga much anymore.
@seedsower - @Aloysius_son - I already subscribe and consider him a xanga friend. Yes, his paintings are beautiful and he is extremely talented!!! How awsome for you that you have met him personally. Im not as fortunate to literally go so far as meeting someone from xanga, but I do find it interesting to be xanga friends (or visit xanga sites) from all over...especially from overseas. btw, the walkabout was fun. I did mine yesterday and met you!
Well he's a good lookin fellar, nice haircut
I miss you guys..., the paintings are indeed awesome.
I tried to go on his walkabout~ but I got too dizzy and fell of my horse~ and she had to drag me home. Yes~ the Nyquil is talking.
He does beautiful work~ and sounds like a beautiful friend to you~ and many others!
What a nice tribute post!
What a talented brother you have there! His paintings are gorgeous. Very fanciful.
I do Xanga "walk-abouts" all the time. I didn't know there was a name for it!
this was so nice about him
maybe I should go back and erase what I just commented on his post(it was what popped in my mind and I thought I was being cute)
Very beautiful paintings!!! Does he do that for a living?
What a wonderful shoutout to your Xangabrutha John! He truly is one of the nice guys that hang out here!
@WildWomanOfTheWest - So you talk on meds too?? I always get crazy with my comments after going to the dentist....nitrous and valium...what else is there to say? lol
I almost didn't know where I was!! Your new background is very striking!!
I dropped a line to say hi.
We got acquainted on his last walkabout! He is a neat xangan - hope to see him again!
He's a great guy. I love and admire him very much!
oh my gosh i love the old testament painting.
A fitting tribute!
He visited me once and introduced me to another of his friends. He has good taste. I have enjoyed that new blog since day one.
I wish I knew him better. He seems so nice. :0)
He is one of the good people to know...whom I already do...and I do visit with him often...online of course...smile
How wonderful and he is indeed a very talented, wonderful person. I am happy he and you are both here with the rest of us on Xanga. Xanga would be less brighter without the two of you here.
Everything you said about him is true. His heart shines through all that he writes and paints. He's definitely a talented painter.
Love the paintings ... he did a beautiful job!
So glad to find your site and to in turn be sent to your friend [brothers] site!
Neat idea and what an artist. Love the florals.
I really like the one he sent you in the mail. Good guy.
I love seeing online friends IRL!!!
@AmeSoeur - I just sent a friend request. Hope you accept!
