  • Mildred or CatfishMa

Some of you have met my mom Mildred
and some of you have read about here in my blog.
    She is amazing.
One of the things I have always admired about her is that she lives out truth.
She wanted us to tell her the truth even if it went against her moral standards
and she never condemned us for it.
She treats everyone with respect and kindness even derelicts and vagrants on the street, learning their names.
I have seen street people stop what they were doing to happily greet Mildred.
She is quiet in manner and  somehow sees people
in a way that feels as if she knows your life's story.
She taught me to see people,
to look at them in passing and smile,to greet people ,all people.
Her core is to treat everyone with compassion and fairness and the truth.
Sometimes the truth hurts and she is not intimidated by it,
either to hear it or to tell it.
I opened up a Xanga site for Mildred ,
    I named it
    CatfishMa for her.
She wanted to keep up with the Xangans she has met....
Angi, Vi, Brett, Irisheyessmiling, Katers, Firefighterswife, CrazyKeys, Mellibella, Iloveaholiday, Danishdoll and Peahater, MomGoneMadd, AliasUndercover, CarmellaApple, Martna1, Dingdongdingbat, Donkey and Flash.
She even met Dan, of the theologianscafe.
Go say hi and welcome her.
She will not be very active in posting or commenting a lot
but she will read what is posted.

When you told me that you were bringing your mother along, I immediately told my mom she needed a day off work to join us as well. Our original plan was for me to just head on out there in my little Del Sol and meet you all at the restaurant, but overall, I'm glad you got to meet my mother.
