Did you create those holes in the brick? If so, that must have been the best April Fool’s joke ever.
Nice. He should feel loved!
It always amazes me how something like bricks in a wall can make such a beautiful picture.
I particularly like the first one Beth, it is stunning….. for bricks.
Im not sure what it is, but there is something about that first picture that I absolutely love.
I think I need to come visit this farmhouse!
I have loved this whole series!!
By the way, those saddlestrap hinges on the red door are worth about $50 a piece up here.
Great pics Beth.
@Bricker59 - I have about 10 more pics yet,my camera loved this place!
That is one neat looking barn, Beth!
Great details, Beth! I think the X’s are supposed to be like wheat stacks in the field. I’m wondering if they are really holes, or if there is something behind them. Like a recessed brick.
So sad that it’s being allowed to fall into ruin… sighs cm
@seedsower - your eye for beauty amazes me every time! I don’t know how you do it, but you always blow me away.
Great photos! I loved #2 and #4 the best
@IMChurchmouse - Ventilation holes, the barn has been painted recently,I am hoping someone bought the property.
@buddly47 - It is a gorgeous example of a Pennsylvania Bank Barn,I have a few more pix of the barn to do a post about it.
Love the hole in the wall!
The composition of the first two photos are excellent. I especially like the colors and textures of the first one.
@IMChurchmouse - @seedsower - It appears to be pretty well kept for it’s age. Someone has been working on it.
@buddly47 - The house is falling down but the barn looks upkept , I hope someone will fix it up.
Lovely, cant belive that barn is abandoned. Could I move it here?
totally awesome photo!!!!!
Very cool building and neat pics!
I hate the fact that it’s abandoned!! Despite the holes in the wall it strikes me as a very well made and useful building! Great photos!
What a beautiful barn! That first photo is stunning. I need to come visit you someday and see these places in person.
all still very nice. My fav, the first pic.
Wonderful colors and textures. If those walls could talk.
Now there’s a barn that built to last
VERY nice. thanks for sharing…S
Awesome pics!
@MooncatBlue - Do you know what pics you want yet for the cards?
@seedsower - ha. no. I was just thinking that too, when I was in here. I am going to look tonight. My life got kind of crazy for awhile with work and everything. I am getting my handmade stuff started this weekend too.
Dang. That’s a ton of bricks
Great pictures.
That first picture is just so cool.
Wow.
Now .. can you find photos of Pigs on the Wing?
Wow!
very cool pictures…. amazing what beauty we can see when we look
I really like that hourglass pattern
Yes! Beautiful sounds!
That is some interesting brickwork. Do they have a hard time keeping birds out of those cubby holes? Beautiful pics though Beth!
Wow~ when your upclose~ you see one brick~~ but as you back up~ you see more and more~~ the bricks changing in style and patterns. Kinda like the world. Good stuff~ Tamy
I love the image of the brick showing through the plaster! Of course, I’m able to enjoy it more now that the memory of living in a needy Victorian house has faded.
Stunning absoluetly…that first shot is one that I would have been overjoyed to have in my lens but I’m so pleased you did..you did it justice for sure! thanks for the lovely pics!
Fantastic as always! I love the crispness and the color. Just out of curiosity, did you have permission to go onto the land to take pictures of the house or did you just do it? While out driving around with my hubby, I’ve tried to get him to let me go take pictures of some old barns and stuff, but he tells me that I can’t just trespass on people’s property. I was just wondering if you’ve ever ran into any trouble over it.
beautiful shots!
I choose the door and the first picture!! More for my seedsower folder.
You gotta love those bricks! Great pics!
Unique! And sexy! (Ops… sorry, Bricker) But the walls are undeniable sexy.
Lol, when I saw this title I actually thought of Bricker.
Love # 2!
i’ve never seen that, before. holes in a brick wall!
ryc: i am no word-mincer. i’m surprised that ONE part in my blog got so much attention. i said other stuff, too. haha.
* gapes in awe*
your photos are amazing!!! I love them. You had so much practise with your compact camera (and took great shots on that), that now with your new SLR camera you are really getting amazing results. You already had the vision but now you have the lenses and internal processor in the camera to get excellent picture quality!

Looks like you have quite the fan club going on here.
How are you? Just thought I would drop by to say “Hello, I’m back!”
Hope all is well. Hope you start visiting me again.
God Bless.
