There is an old Homestead that has stood still in time for many decades. I stopped there this week to get some photos. My camera and this place had a love affair. It was intoxicating!

Hey! I'm loving your photos once more... I WILL get a camera once more... actually I have 4... two they no longer make film for the 3rd they do but I can't afford the developing costs... the fifth an ancient digital that I can't connect to my MacBook. But I shall for I love to take photos too!
I used to go out to my Grandparent's homestead north of Brooks Alberta. That is just outside the Badlands there near Drumheller where Dinosaur Provincial Park is. Anyway there were a number of abandoned homesteads out there on the drylands and into the coolies around the Red Deer River. It was a neat time... now sadly G&G's farmstead is abandoned too and their home a shelter for fieldmice. I always dreamed of maybe going out there to live a bit of a hermit life, writing, going into town for groceries and provisions... they had power -- water from a well and sewage from a septic system... They had propane I think. Anyway, an eternity ago.
