Poinsettia Show Progress
As many of you know we own a Greenhouse Business.
We grow and sell poinsettias for Christmas
as well as bedding plants, veggies and perennials in the spring
and Mums in the fall
Before we sell the poinsettias we have a themed "Poinsettia Show"
so everyone can view the gorgeous seas of poinsettias
before they are gone, they make a festive sight.
Our theme this year is
"Route 66"
"Get your kick's on Route 66...at Glick's! (that is us)
Friday, December 5th: 9am-9pmSaturday, December 6th: 9am-5pm
Monday, December 8th: 9am-9pm
When I pick up my nephew from school the first thing he does when we get here is run to the greenhouse
to go see how the progress is coming on "The Cars Wall"...
one of the displays for the show. They grew a lot in two weeks...
Two weeks ago...These are a few of the varieties,my favorite is Monet
and good old fashioned red.

Wow so pretty.
I love the fact you own something and use it to make things to make other people happy.
I often feel disconnected in my jobs like I am moving things without creating anything real.
Incredible how BIG they have gotten... IT's beautiful Beth.
Beth they (flowers) are beautiful. I love the artwork too, great job!!!
I always feel so peaceful when I walk into a greenhouse. It's like the outside world fades away and all that exists is the smell of the soil and plants, the feel of the moist air, and the gentle dripping of water somewhere. I love greenhouses. Just looking at your beautiful pictures put me there for a moment.
Beautiful. And I love the theme for this year.
All that must be alot of work...very creative!!
Absolutely gorgeous poinsettias, Beth! My wife would never leave your greenhouse! Love the Route 66 and the Cars Wall Theme! Deliteful!!

Your really surrounded by beauty, your very luck! I love the burgandy colored ones, I decorate my xmas tree with burgandy poinsettes.
oh, like that movie Cars! I've been to her site and found my old VW bus.
Very beautiful!! How much is it costing in utlities to keep them warm??? I like red the best!!
So beautiful! Wish I was local and could visit and buy about 2 dozen!
They are good to sell . They are really wonderful.
Love
Flowers are so pretty!
In the past I have been able to plant mine, but I only get a year it seems. When they get real large I have no way to cover them from the frost that comes in. Yet some of the old houses in the city have them growing tall on the Southside of course.
I see someone is a real artist too.
I'm loving it!!! Tamy
I love poinsettias. You are on Route 66?? I am too. We live in a Route 66 town in MO.
I think my favorite would be the holly point. I've never tried to grow one... Maybe this year I will!
WOW! Just incredibly gorgeous.
Lee looks so cute in that one picture.
morning glorie.... I hope that was lots of hard work - nothing that beautiful should be easy!!!! I like your theme too....but....where's..... tow-mater
? Do you sell the flowers pot by pot or do you sell huge groups of them to corporations?
@blagodat - I did not even take you in the greenhouse did I ? See you need to come back!
I think I am going to have to buy some poinsettias now!
It's more that everyone's got a different moral fiber, and those fibers are knitted into one rather odd blanket. So as a society, we may not, I don't think many individuals are devoid of moral fiber. The ones who are are on death row already.
Now that, along with all of the snow we have had should put us in the Christmas mood..
Hi Beth, Your photos are very beautiful. When I was a kid our neighbors had a Cyclamen nursery and I remember how fond I always was walking around the plants watching the progress of growth. Tonight as I was walking down your greenhouse so many vivid memories were triggered. You have a beautiful collection of plants.
last night i buy a pot of red poinsettia from IKEA for US3/ they were lovely!
Wow, they are beautiful. You must have many secrets to getting them so full and bright. It's sad that I've never been able to keep those plants alive after Christmas, I think people like me keep you busy at Christmas!
I want to be there. so pretty! we LOVE cars too, wayy cute!
What a lovely display. I had my Christmas poitsettias for a record time this year. they stayed red all spring. what a treat.
