  • I like grape arbors...fruit of the vine...water into wine...all that stuff....

  • Awesome pics, when I was knee hight to a grasshopper I used to pull grapes and those spider webss used to have very big spiders on them, I often wonder now if those spiders got drunk eating those grapes...Have a HOT TGIF

  • So what does the future hold for these grapes? Will they become jelly, juice, or wine? They look rich and full!

  • Lovely pictures! The last one is my favorite. Your third one makes me feel like I'm upside down for some reason.

  • yummy.....those look good enough to eat .  and the spider web is really cool.

  • Are those concord grapes?  We used to have those growing when I was a kid at my grandparents house.  I think my grandfather made wine with them..

  • 2 best and I will vote now

  • Beautiful pictures........................very nice............hugs.

  • I remember making grape juice with you Bessie, that was good!

  • Nice pictures. Ordinarily our grapes would be close to ripe in August. If we hadn't have had the freeze on Easter this year. You have some nice looking grapes and I love the grape arbor.

  • Those grapes look wonderful! look how they glow.

Give the dues to me, and you can trust me to get them where they belong!

  • My big blue clogs are Birks too. I bought my first pair of Birks 16 years ago. I remember because my black lab was a puppy and chewed them up. It was years before I could afford a new pair. They are the best shoe.

  • Hi...

ryc: It was a fun pool party today! Lots of good food to eat too!

I'll be spending time with friends... eating  brunch and watching a movie...

Are you going to be having some fun?

  • Hah. Thanks! I seriously love your pictures! These ones are making me hungry!

  • Your reflection post is NUMBER ONE for starred posts!

  • I approve of your devious plan! Let the fools reign on Xanga, as stars!

  • If you're ever in the area, stop by, and I'll let ya borrow the McCoury CDs.  :)

I need to get out and take some photos of I don't know what.  I have nine exposures to go before I get the vacation pics processed.

  • Reminds me of the great classic"The Grapes of Wrath"

  • OOO... AHHHH... lol You always find the BEST spider webs! The ones I find are always all wonky. lol

I have a theory on the star thing we mentioned... last night I acidentally hit three stars instead of five... and I also starred two pictures I meant to pass forever... So maybe people hit them on accident? lol

Anyway. glad you got to take some pictures on your walk. Did yoou get the cucs done?

I get to go play... i mean work... for a few hours tomorrow again! So far so good.

I'm off to star the ones I LOVE!

I haven't got to see the videos yet... but I haven't forgotten... just seem to be running out of time lately... ugh!

  • This was the first time I got to look at a spider web up close without fear of the spider.  It was beautiful, really a piece of art.

Thanks for stopping by while I was MK-ing in the big D. It was a blast! More details after I get a bit of sleep--that is if I don't forget everything by then......

  • RYC: Thanks, Beth! I'm sure Evelyn would appreciate it, as would Peter. A very nice woman, but it was hysterical how she was listing all of his faults and why he needs the extra help from strangers.

  • RYC: That's after the haircut. It has grown out a bit. The...uh..... mistake is not so visible especially in that shot! LOL!

  • Everybody, if you can see this xanga site, don't leave without giving a comment.
Since SlowFish, our friend will be birthday soon.
Even you are passerby, just leave a message and say Happy Birthday to her.
    THANKS

  • The light in those shots is just amazing. I love those photos!

  • Pickles! I bet Aloysius_son would like your pickles! LOL! A reasonable amount of work is good! I hope you had fun!

  • Hi, finally got caught up on most of your posts after being away for almost a month.  I always love the pictures you get, sometimes think I need to visit your part of the country, though could get some good ones here too if I just would get up and out early in the morning and then do premium Xanga so could post more than a few each month.  Wish I had been around when you were doing pickles I love home made ones, haven't done that since I left my parents home.  Enjoyed your pics of your western trip, there are several of the places we visited last summer, plus some that I haven't gotten to yet.  Reason to go again.  Hope you got a chance to sit today even though it is Sun not Sat day.  Have a great week ahead and will be coming back to visit. Hugs.

  • Beautiful pics as usual!!!

RYC: That is the weirdest thing I've ever heard, but it was probably just some bored teenager! Haha!

  • Or maybe a 'tween', rather.. one who's not old enough to have a xanga account yet.

  • Beautiful pictures, Seedsower! :)

  • Fair enough. Thats weird, is Dunk'en Donuts an actual resturant? I thought it would just be like a Bakery. That driveway thing is crazy though.

  • By the way the grapes in the pictures have produced gorgeous colours. Well done!

  • The last one is my favorite!

RYC: Thanks for all the comments and compliments!
    *sparkle

  • Oh ok. I know theres one place you can get it in Auckland, but I've never been.

  • ryc: ROFL... I hope that hasn't really happened to you!!!

  • Two mile walk?? I'm impressed!  I really need to start walking, but it's been so oppressively hot I don't feel like doing anything.  I wish I lived closer, we could walk together!!  We'd do so much chatting, that we wouldn't even realize we were walking!

Oh WOW .. beautiful pics again!!  I love them .. reminds me of when I was little and I would eat the grapes right off the vines ...

I hope you have a great week!! Alicia

  • BEAUTIFUL PICTURES!!! I want a grape arbor! You must live in a gorgeous place. and I never thought about it, but I bet the rain is really loud in a greenhouse!

  • Beth!  Hello! You will soon see that I am new to this.   Elizabeth suggested using xanga as a way to keep my kids updated about what's going on at home.  It's easier to post photos etc here.  I am glad to hear from you though.  Maybe we'll actually get to really keep in touch this way!
