Grabbing a jelly doughnut, while racing out the door in the morning, late for work.

Having a desk lunch of M&Ms and Diet Pepsi from the vending machines in the break room.
IN OTHER WORDS, IF IT HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH HAVING A QUICK BITE, IT HAS EVERYTHING TO DO WITH BEING A SINKIE.No dress code, reservations, tipping, annoying table conversation; no "soup or salad" decision (have both if you like), no trying to catch the waiter's eye, no deciding whether to use the everyday dishes or the good stuff, no having to endure the waitress calling you "Hon" or "Dearie."

For as long as I can remember, my mom has eaten over the sink and we've always teased her about it.She would never live in a house without a window at the sink.This is her view when she eats over the sink.

Hello Beth!!! How are you?? That makes me miss my mountain view that I used to have looking out my kitchen window when I lived in Colorado!!! It was so pretty!! **sigh** And now it's just the gray ol skies here in Michigan!!!!
Wow. Quite a view. I had no idea there was a name for folks like me. Lately though, I have been eating at the dashboard diner more than the sink....
A tomato sandwich with a good homegrown tomato and lots of mayonaise is my favorite sinkie food:>)

My mama does that some times too. I always figured it makes washing the dishes quicker that way.

I'm giving that site to my husband. If I dont ask him to sit down, all his meals would be at the sink. I did not know there were more people like that. lol How funny!
I had no idea there was actually a name for it. I don't always do it....but I have certainly been known to eat lots of things over the kitchen sink. Generally it's while I'm cooking dinner.
RYC: Yes, my mums are perennials, the main reason I chose them. I have a snapdragon that's not a perennial and it stayed alive all last winter. It never did freeze hard here last year, partly the reason we have so many bugs. This may sound weird, but I hope we have a long hard freeze this winter.

people do that? forgive my ignorance. i do dashboard dine, and i have been known to rat on the dance floor when i danced in school, but i never thought to eat over the sink... interesting- but can't blame your mom, that's a great view! makes me miss carlisle!
When you live alone, it is ok to drink out of the milk carton. All I can say is that if you are ever at my house and the container is not sealed shut, it has probably been eaten out of.
I've seen that view in another of your posts if memory serves me correctly...and I still think that it's very beautiful! I've never eaten over my sink, but I do have a good view out of my window...I live very near huge mountains! I do however drink straight out of the milk gallon...but only I drink that vitamin D milk. Everyone else drinks that 2%, or nonfat watery crap! Yuck!!! How can they expect to enjoy Count Chocula with water? I'll never know. Have a wonderful Wednesday Beth!

No sinkie for me . . .
I have that problem sometime I have two little ones and I spend most my dinner taking care of them that by time there done eating I have hardly touched my food or if its all gone its because I gave them seconds right from my plate so when its time to run I quickly eat something over the sink lol. Hope you had a great day fun post and the view is very nice no wonder she eats there
