*EDIT* I must go to Philly,a much loved uncle is on his deathbed and I want to be with my aunt and pray with him,.He is young and wonderful and I am on a sad journey today,I will catch up with you all later.

ooo, I love looking at buildings when we travel. If I'm driving and we're going down a main street in a new town I always cause a back up. Yes, I am one of those slow down and look people.

Thosse are awesome pictures! I remember going to Jim Thorpe when I was VERY young as we had family there. For the longest time I always thought that Jim Thorpe was the person we went to see, not the place! LOL I remember there being this awesome lookout point somewhere there. We have pictures... or did... but that was ages ago. At least 25 years.
RYC: Yeah it's hard to enjoy owning my vehicle but on the flip side I AM enjoying the nice $30,000 rental with the leather seats

How I love architecture--these are beautiful photos. The balcony reminds me of new orleans and the uneven brown brick one reminds me of our courthouse in Minneapolis, MN Hope all goes well with your uncle-sending healing wishes.

I have been all around Jim Thorpe, but never slowed down to look, as I can see you did. The pictures loaded abydmsally slowly last night, then I ran spyware and they loaded faster. Might have something to do with the time of day too. 9 AM instead of 9 PM.

Beautiful pictures. Is there a "Packer Mansion" in Jim Thorpe? I sorta remember my mom visiting there and said something about this. It is some very distant relative of mine. I never have been there but the building are beautiful. Will have to check that out sometime. Have a great weekend.
